With the transition from lowercase to first-letter uppercase prototype names Antville (and Antville library, resp.) got in trouble with two of Helma's built-in constructors, Image and File.

To prevent indecent side effects as well as inappropriate work on the Antville codebase we decided to move the Helma constructors into a new namespace instead of renaming Antville's Image and File prototypes. Thus, the Helma constructors are now called Helma.Image and Helma.File.

As single trade-off of this measure the current version 1.4 of Antville library does not contain the additional methods of Helma's File prototype. These have moved to a file called Helma.js in the global scope of Antville itself.

Thus, version 1.4 will be incompatible with applications using these additional File methods.

To fix this we recommend to temporarily use the Helma.js file contained in Antville now and incorporate the upcoming Helma library containing many of Helma's built-in constructors rewritten as JavaScript prototypes later.

Please also note that the prototypes in Antville library now are first-letter uppercase, too. This should not affect you at all when using the library as is (zip file).

However, an update of the source code via CVS could result in strange conflicts. In this case we recommend to do a completely new check-out of the AntvilleLib module.
